Event Details

EventCamp East Coast is a conference for people who are directly involved in the planning of corporate and association meetings and conferences.

The event was born from the original gathering of event professionals from the Twitter group, #eventprofs, at EventCamp 2010 in New York City. Based on its success, several groups have gone on to create regional events focusing on different topics for event professionals across the United States and the world.

EventCamp East Coast, familiarly known as EC², will highlight an interactive and innovative meeting format called “Conferences That Work” (described in his book Conferences That Work: Creating Events That People Love) by conference designer and facilitator Adrian Segar. This participant-driven event will support sharing, learning, and networking for corporate and association planners on the East Coast while presenting a unique opportunity to experience and learn how to create successful peer events.

Register Early! This event is limited to 60 participants and we expect it to sell out very quickly. A wait list will be available once we have sold out in case of any cancellations.*

Why Attend:

So often we attend industry conferences and wish we had more time to interact with our peers. EventCamp East Coast gives you that opportunity. The entire event will be focused on connecting with your peers in the event industry and sharing your knowledge and learning from those who are in the trenches with you. As we all know...real life experience is invaluable.

As a bonus you, as a meeting/event planner, will get to see and experience a peer conference in action facilitated by an expert. Thinking a peer conference might be perfect for your company or association? This is your unique chance to check it out and learn how it's done. Every attendee will leave with Adrian Segar's book, Conferences That Work: Creating Events That People Love, to help you on your journey.

Who Benefits:

Event Camp can be described best as a labor of love. None of the organizers of this event are being paid for their services. We are all volunteers who are meeting and event organizers. Every dollar of your registration really goes to you, the attendee.

More Information:

Are you a supplier? If so, please contact us at EventCampEC@gmail.com if you are interested in participating in this event. We feel that suppliers can offer valuable insight to the group but because of the nature of this event we have set aside a very limited amount of registrations for non-corporate or association meeting/event planners.

EventCamp East Coast is a conference for people directly involved in the planning of corporate and association meetings and events. It will be like no other event you have ever been a part of. This participant-driven conference will support sharing, learning, and networking for corporate and association planners on the East Coast while presenting a unique opportunity to experience and learn how to create successful peer events.

The program design is based on organizer Adrian Segar's twenty years of research and experience with conference attendees, described in his book, Conferences That Work: Creating Events That People Love. It is an innovative, interactive style that supports participants creating their own agenda, and ensures that session topics are optimally relevant. Unlike the traditional conference model, relevant experience and expertise is uncovered and shared amongst participants and no one person is presumed to have more importance than another. This format generates and supports a genuine community.

Please contact the EC² staff at EventCampEC@gmail.com or on Twitter at @EventCampEC.

We look forward to seeing you there!
